An early intervention initiative & parent support group in Sudbury, Ontario.
We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering parents, caregivers, and children through early intervention strategies, play, and connection. Our mission is to raise awareness about developmental disabilities and provide early intervention strategies for parents navigating the diagnosis and funding process.
Our Story: Queenie's Toy Library was founded by Kelu Ogunleye, a passionate advocate for all children — including those with developmental disabilities or delays — and community building. Our journey began with a simple idea: to create a shared space where families could access developmental toys, resources, and parental support.
Our Values:
Transforming wait times into opportunities by empowering all children and parents to thrive through constructive play, community, and connection. We envision a world where every child has access to quality play experiences, regardless of background or socioeconomic status.
The dedicated team behind Queenie's Toy Library, each bringing unique expertise and lived experience.
Meet Kelu Ogunleye, founder of Queenie's Toy Library — a resilient and visionary leader dedicated to empowering families. With a strong background in Developmental Services from Cambridge College, Kelu has transformed her personal experiences into a catalyst for positive change.
Inspired by her child's remarkable progress overcoming speech delays and language disorders, she recognised the need for accessible resources and support. Guided by a profound spiritual calling to serve others, Kelu channeled her passion into creating Queenie's Toy Library — providing vital developmental toys and books for children of all ages.
In 2018, Kelu embarked on a courageous journey to Canada as a newcomer and single parent of two. Currently pursuing Indigenous Social Work studies at Laurentian University, her commitment to community deepens every day. Through Queenie's Toy Library, Kelu ensures no family navigates adversity alone.
